WEE!!!
Had an awesome first day of class! I'm officially in the school play THE WOMEN OF LOCKERBIE. It's about Pan Am Flight 103 that blew up over Scotland. I play the jerky US Representative who doesn't want to give access to the stuff found after the wreckage. I get to be a bad guy! It's gonna rock!!

Hope you all had a great New Year's Eve celebration. Mine was awesome! Went to MGM Studios to celebrate it. It was packed and crazy there! Good times! Right now I feel as if I have a massive hang over (I haven't been drinking though). My head hurts and It feels lightheaded. I'm just so exhausted from not getting enough sleep this weekend that it's catching up to me.
Anywho, going back to FGCU on Friday. Gotta get a bunch of stuff ready before the semester begins. Moving half my stuff in, cleaning, shopping for groceries, getting books, hang out with people. Yup, crazy times...anyway, hope you'll are doing awesome and I'll see everybody soon!

So facebook and myspace has been kinda slow lately, so what's left? LiveJournal!!! lol.
Yup, I guess I'll write in it to keep up with the two people that always update, lol. Anyway, got back home last Friday for a Christmas party. That was fun. I've been studying this whole past week for GREs on Tuesday. I got the Math part down, but the Verbal is a little challenging. The analogies and sentence completions are killers. The rest I'm pretty good at. All I need is a 1000 for grad school and I should be OK. After Tuesday, though, I'm all free for the next three weeks!! woo hoo!!!
Anywho, I got Becky's party to go to tonite. Can't wait! Then we get to do Welly-World with Rebecca and the DeConto!

FGCU student charged with rape

October 12, 2005
An 18-year-old Florida Gulf Coast University student was arrested Monday and charged with sexually assaulting a fellow student he had been drinking with in his dorm room.
Ryan M. Daly, whose address was listed as 7080 Bergamo Way No. 201, San Carlos Park, on arrest reports, was arrested after the other student said she woke up with Daly on top of her in his dorm room with her pants and underwear off. She told police she asked Daly to stop, but he did not. During questioning Daly said the sex was consensual.
According to FGCU reports, the two had been drinking with mutual friends in a FGCU dorm room early Monday when they retired to Daly's Falcon 13 dorm room to await the arrival of other friends. The victim said she did not recall going to Daly's room.
She only recalls awaking with him on top of her, having sex with her.
Police, called by the victim's friend and roommate, met with the woman in her dorm room.
She wept as she told police what she remembered of the incident.
When police arrived to speak to Daly, he was asleep, and according to reports, still intoxicated. He told police he knew the victim was very intoxicated, adding that he had to carry her to his car. He added that she instigated the sex. Police arrested Daly at the FGCU police department and charged him with sexual assault.
As of late Tuesday, Daly had paid a $5,000 bond but was still in custody in the Lee County Jail, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Daly has a court date scheduled for Nov. 14.

Formal was awesome last night!! They only played ghetto booty dancing music and it got really repetatice but it was still fun. They really need to start playing variety at dances.

Dang! This was such an awesome week!!
Turning a year older is kinda scary, especially if you begin to complain about other people's behavior, lol. But no, I guess I just never saw myself turning 23 and totally seeing what I have accomplished in my life. Good stuff!
This was weekend was just amazing! I got to spend it with my family by hanging out and SHOPPING!!! HAHAHA....gotta love that. They totally surprised me this morning. I was SO not expecting a present from them, but yet, they surprised me. Then my friends and I went to the OG'zzle(The Olive Garden). Definitely good times hanging out.
All I gotta say is that I have been blessed with the BEST family ever. They are truly a gift from God! He has also blessed me with an awesome group of friends! They rock my socks! LOL
That's all for now! Only 13 minutes left til midnight!!

It's good to be home, see the fam, have some homemade chili...good stuff!! Yesterday was awesome. Meeting with Levi was da bomb diggity and community group even rocked more! After that, me and Brandt drove to Wally World at like midnight...cause what else is there to do in Ft Myers at night?? LOL. We bought some groceries and looked at weird underwear. LOL. Anyway, we drove back and stopped at Denny's cause our stomachs were grumbling. It got kinda obnoxious cause some drunk people showed up and set behind us. They were REALLY loud! But we made awesome conversation and truly had a good time. That Brandt Burton is a good man, Charlie Brown! LOL
Classes have been going great as well. I've been extremely busy but extremely productive as well. i've kept up with readings and assignments that are due. I truly am enjoying my theater classes. I actually know what they're talking about and actually have input in discussions. It's great!
But enough about me, cause Livejournal is not about me (ironic), lol. JK JK JK...
One week til South Beach and about two weeks til the big 2-3....oh! so scary.

Oooohhhh!!! Spinning class hurts SO much!
So anyway, coming out of spinning class, this guy that's in my class approaches me and is like, "Hey you, kid." I'm like "wtf??" He starts explaining to me how everything on the paper that was due today was all in the article. I'm just standing there thinking, "yeah, that's why the professor gave us the article, so we could write that paper."
I'm like, "Yeah, the test is gonna be SO easy too!" And he's like, "hey, would you give me the answers or would you write my paper for me? I'll give you $50 bucks." I was SHOCKED! I just said "sorry" and walked away. That's impressive. He's suppose to be a senior in college and he can't write his own papers?? That's sad! Where's the future going??

First day down!
Classes went good so far. I went to my Politics class and saw everyone from last semester. Then went to my Theater classes. Those sound fun! I'm taking Acting I. It seems like a lot of work, I've taken Dr Green so I know I can handle heavy duty work. Besides, hard work never hurt anybody. Danielle Channell is in that class so that should be fun as well! Then I had Rehearsal Performance I with Emily, which I then decided to take Play Production which meets at the same time of that class. So it's like doing the work once and getting credit for both classes. I just gotta get it together on paper cause when I register it shows up as a time conflict. The professor will take care of it.
All in all, it was a good day. I have one more new class tomorrow and we go on from there.

I'm back! I'm so happy to see my roommates and all of my friends again. I missed them so much. We got to hang out tonight after the leadership meeting at Leo's where we played Scene It. Fun Game!
We get to go to Summit tomorrow and see more people. EXCITED!! I remember the first semester I got here I was SO scared cause I had no idea if I was going to like it or if I was even going to meet people. I thought I was going to be so afraid that I would decide to just quit. You have to face your fears and move on, though. You won't get far if you run away from the unfamiliar. I'm glad I chose FGCU cause I have met the coolest people and have learned a lot about others but especially about myself. Lessons that will be a part of me for a lifetime! I know that with all of these lessons in hand, I will be well prepared for the endevours that I may be encountered with in the future.
I'm excited about this coming year and all the things that it may bring. I'm not worried or scared like I used to be. I don't panic when a bad situation arises anymore, but rather I want to face those unfamiliar situations and walk out of them with my head high. Win or lose; I've gained and learned a lesson either way! :)

WOW! I cannot believe the human race. Today I go into Best Buy looking to buy the Thundercats Season 1 DVD collection. i'm a HUGE fan of Thundercats and have been looking everywhere for the DVD's. So I'm looking on the shelves and I ask one of the people that work there, "Excuse me, do you guys have the Thundercats Season 1."
He responds, "Um....what channel are they on?"
At that moment I felt like shaking the guy by the shoulders and saying, "What! You've never heard of Thundercats?!" He had no idea what they were. Geez, what has society become nowadays?? Not knowing Thundercats. shame!
On a good note! I'm excited to go back to school. I'm looking forward towards my classes, friends, QUEST, community groups. Is gonna be awesome!
One word of warning. This is my last year and I wanna enjoy it just like I have enjoyed these past semesters at FGCU. I'm telling ya'll, do not drown me with your drama. It'll be beneficial for me and as well as you. I love you all, but we gotta be big girls and boys when dealing with things that come into our lives. Don't get me wrong, I will still be there if you have problems with something or you need a lending ear, I'll try my best to help you out. However, come to me with drama and I will tell you my new motto: "Leave the drama for your mama!"
I'm gonna enjoy my last drama-free year! :D
